KIT DETAILS
PRINTED KIT - CUT, FOLD, GLUE! This model comes unassembled, delivered flat-packed in a large envelope.
What's inside? 8 sturdy A4 size paper sheets with the artwork, cutting and scoring lines printed on. You will need to cut, score, fold and glue the parts in order to assemble the model according to the set-up instructions which come with the kit.
Things which are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). Some other things might be helpful: a pointed stylus, tweezers and scissors. See what tools we recommend.

MODEL BUILDING TIPS
This model will require more than one sitting to build it. We advise to pause between different stages as you work, especially when you come to gluing. The white glue softens the paper and it may lead to misshapen parts if you do not allow them to dry well before proceeding further with assembling. Click here to watch our paper model building tips.

ABOUT THIS LANDMARK
The Globe Theatre, famously associated with William Shakespeare, is an iconic London landmark and a cultural beacon in the world of theater. Originally built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, the theatre was destroyed by fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614, and finally demolished in 1644.
The Elizabethan playhouse that you can visit today, located on the south bank of the River Thames, was reconstructed in 1997, a short distance from its original site. The new Globe Theatre, officially named "Shakespeare's Globe", was the result of the vision and dedication of American actor and director Sam Wanamaker. Its design closely replicates the original, with a circular, open-air structure and a thatched roof, the first to be built in London since the Great Fire of 1666.
The Globe Theatre is unique for its "O" shaped design, with a stage projecting into a yard surrounded by three tiers of raked seating, allowing for an intimate and interactive theatrical experience. True to its historical roots, it operates without spotlights or amplification, relying on natural light and acoustics, just as in Shakespeare's time.
