This model will require more than one sitting to build it. We advise to pause between different stages as you work, especially when you come to gluing. The white glue softens the paper and it may lead to misshapen parts if you do not allow them to dry well before proceeding further with assembling. Click here to watch our paper model building tips.

PRINTED KIT - CUT, FOLD, GLUE! This model comes unassembled, delivered flat-packed in a large envelope.

What's inside? 6 sturdy A4 size paper sheets with the artwork, cutting and scoring lines printed on. You will need to cut, score, fold and glue the parts in order to assemble the model according to the set-up instructions which come with the kit.
Things that are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). Some other things might be helpful: a pointed stylus, tweezers, and scissors. See what tools we recommend.

Mount Vernon in Virginia was the home of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The mansion is built of wood in a loose Palladian style and was constructed by George Washington between 1758 and 1778. Its architecture had a great influence on the development of mansions throughout the USA.

We want to ensure you that we are shipping your purchase on time (and even mostly ahead of the estimated processing time), however due to the current postal overload worldwide the delays might happen so please don't worry if the order doesn't arrive within the usual estimated delivery schedule.

Assembled paper models, personalised items - up to 10 working days.

Delivery

The usual* delivery time of your order should be:

Domestic (mainland UK) 1-3 working days

International Standard

Europe - 3 to 5 working days

USA and Canada - 5 to 7 working days

Rest of the world - 7 to 14 working days

International Express (almost everywhere) - 2 to 4 working days.

*Please note that the delay in the mail system is beyond our control. More than 95% of orders are delivered within the stated timeframe but sometimes delivery may exceed the expected delivery time due to different reasons, especially during peak periods, so we encourage a bit of patience. If you definitely need the order by the exact date please use the express mail option.

Remember: Your order delivery date = Your order date + Shipping time + Delivery time.

Returns

Custom and/or personalised orders, including assembled PaperLandmarks models, can't be returned and refunded. All other orders can be returned at your expense. We will issue a refund only if you return unopened kits in good quality within 30 days of receipt. Shipping fee is not refundable.

Orders to the EU

If your order is going to be delivered in the EU and the value of goods is not exceeding EUR 150 (excl. VAT), your order total will include VAT at the rate of the EU country you are ordering to; no additional taxes, duties or fees should be paid by the recipient on delivery.
